Is the brown covering on my lulav normal? Is it mold?

What customers are describing is a paper thin, brown, flaky covering that is most often seen on the back (non-smooth) side of the lulav and sometimes covers the entire tip. On some lulavim you can see this brown color in between the leaflets on the “smooth” side of the lulav.

This is called “moch”and is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about Think of it as the “baby hair” of the lulav. It is a sign that the lulav is pretty fresh. For some people, the moch is highly desirable.

Do watch out however for signs of mold. These are black patches that may develop between the leaves, especially if the lulav is stored in a place that is too warm and moist. If you do see a few small patches, you can remove it with a cloth dipped in dilute bleach. Keep an eye on it to make sure it does not spread.

Can I buy only one set at these special wholesale prices?

Yes, since we are the importers we can offer you an opportunity to purchase sets at highly discounted rates.

What are the shipping rates for Esrogim (Arba Minim sets)?

The shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on quantity, destination zip code, and shipping service selected.

Is there an additional charge for overnight shipping of Arba Minim sets?

There is no additional charge, since each customer can select the shipping service they desire. One of the options is UPS Next Day Air and the price quoted at checkout is the price you pay.

What shipping services are recommended for shipping Esrog sets?

Depending on your zip code, you will be able to choose the shipping service from the options available to you. We recommend no more than 3 days of transit time. UPS 3 Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air, and UPS Next Day are always better than other services as it minimizes the time your set is in transit. We will normally ship using the carrier and service you selected, however reserve the right to substitute carriers at our discretion using an equivalent or higher level of service (with regard to days in transit).

Do you ship across the United States?

Of course we do. We go above and beyond to satisfy our customers.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Currently, we only ship to the 48 contiguous US States. Sorry, we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii or other foreign countries.

Which carrier will be shipping my order?

All orders will be shipped via UPS. A tracking number will be available to allow you to track your shipment en route.

When is the last time that I can order Esrog sets with guaranteed delivery for Sukkot?

The deadline for accepting orders with UPS 3 Day Select or regular USPS Priority Mail (i.e. not using UPS Next Day or UPS 2nd Day Air) is Thursday, October 10, 2024. All orders submitted on Friday, October 11, 2024 until Tuesday October 15, 2024 2 p.m. ET must choose UPS 2nd Day or Next Day Air as the shipping service depending on exactly which day your order is placed . All orders submitted thereafter (after October 15, 2024 2 p.m.) are not guaranteed to be delivered prior to Sukkot unless discussed with out customer service by phone or email.

You can order from October 11 and on
choosing any shipping method you want, but we cannot guarantee delivery by Wednesday, October 16, 2024 (prior to the start of the Sukkot Holiday) unless the recommended shipping services above are selected.

When will I receive my order?

Shipment arrival date depends on the shipping service selected. All orders submitted by the above dates with the recommended shipping service, should be received no later than end of day Sunday, October 6, 2024. Our goal is for orders that were placed in a timely fashion to arrive a couple of days ahead of that, so that you do not need to worry. Orders placed in advance of the holiday, will be shipped within the next 2 days for an early arrival so that there is enough time to get a new set to you prior to the holiday should there be any issues with the delivery. If you need your set by a specific time, please be sure to contact us at the time you place your order and we will be glad to accommodate.

What if there is nobody at the shipping address to accept the order when UPS or USPS tries to make a delivery?

UPS will leave a notice of the delivery attempt, and, if you take no action, make another delivery attempt to the same shipping address the next business day. You also have the option to call the phone number on the UPS notice and instruct them to hold the order for you to pick up in person at your local UPS delivery depot. You will need the tracking number on the notice when you call UPS, and be able to produce the notice and a photo ID when you go to pick up the order.

What is your return policy for the Esrogim sets?

Because the sets are perishable, all sales are final. No returns are accepted. However, if you have any problems with your order after it has been received, please call or e-mail our customer service department immediately at info@myesrog.com
